Member of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola today paid a courtesy call on President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at the President’s Palace in Valletta.
President Coleiro Preca and Dr Metsola discussed issues related to children’s rights, as well as ways in which the European Parliament and the President can work on areas of mutual interest.
This was Dr Metsola’s first official meeting with the President since she was re-elected to the European Parliament in May; the two agreed to keep a regular and open channel of communication and cooperate on a range of issues over the next five years.
